For almost 1,000 years, Schloss Thannegg has stood majestically above one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Enns Valley. It is centrally located in the Schladming-Dachstein vacation region in Moosheim. There are countless leisure opportunities here all year round.

From the time of the basic renovation in the 1980s, the lord of the castle, Ernst, placed great emphasis on energy efficiency. Schloss Thannegg has its own hydroelectric power plant, a groundwater heat pump, a 100 kW electricity storage system, PV systems, e-charging stations, including for bidirectionally chargeable e-vehicles, and exemplary building technology, e.g. with heat recovery systems.
